![]() This is a genuine question and I can say, that your thread is being read by few people in Drawboard. ![]() What would be your suggestion for pricing model? ![]() While as a consumer I'm fully on your side, and I prefer not to have my essential tools as subscription, as a developer who puts food on the table by building software - I don't know any other good model how to sell product that can be constantly updated and improved and have an ethical model of monetization (not ads or selling users data harvested from a "free" app). Understand your frustration, I had few products that I bought few years ago (ranging from 10 to $200 per license) which were not being updated after a year or two after purchase, companies simply released "vNext+1" and said - "Old license is not compatible, we can give you a discount on your new purchase".ĭrawboard PDF went from v1.0 to current v.5.30.x one the same $10-15, you and other users paid few years ago (and many users got it cheaper as it's often on various promotions or for free as part of the surface pre-install bundle).
